Do they have grills at the tables so you can cook your own meat??
This place is delicious. I enjoyed every bite. Very authentic. I will go again and bring my family back. I had a hot pot. There are a lot of options. Clean and friendly environment.
MoreWhen I've been to other Korean restaurants and ordered the beef bulgogi, it has come with a LOT of sides! I went with my fiancé, who ordered the "traditional" bulgogi, meaning it had broth and noodles, and it, too, was supposed to come with sides. What we got were four or five sides TOTAL! That is UNACCEPTABLE!!! The beef bulgogi was bland and didn't have any flavor or spice to it. The waitress barely paid attention to us, and there were empty tables with piles of dishes still piled on them. The place wasn't even busy! There were only two other tables there when we left, and there were like three or four when we got there. It was during lunch when we were there. The waitress mainly stayed back at what looked like cash registers the whole time. I will NEVER go back there AGAIN!
MoreQuite literally one of the worst dining experiences of my life. First of all, it took 35 minutes for me to get my food while there was only one other table occupied in the restaurant. When the food finally did show up the portions were ridiculous compared to the price. They charged $23 for a bowl of rice and one short rib of kalbi. I know this is not real Korean food because they misspelled the kalbi as galbi and did not offer any sides with the meal other than the rice. At the end of my meal I went to the bathroom and discovered a live cockroach and another dead one. It was extra disgusting considering the bathroom is right next to the kitchen. If I had my way DJW would be out of business. Be warned of the unhealthy conditions and overall poor quality of the restaurant.
MoreThis resteraunt is straight up gains! They serve literally the best Korean food I've ever had! There is nothing I have ordered there that was not great.
MoreDrove 1/2 hour out of our way for Korean food for a birthday. Handwritten sign on the door said "No sushi here!" Walked in. Employees only people present sitting all together chatting. We seated ourselves, no greeting. Waited. No one got up. Finally about 3 or 4 minutes later with actually groaning -someone got up. The apparent mananger or owner and a waitress. At this point , my husband asked if I wanted to leave. I waited 2 minutes watching my phone. They started wiping down menus. At that time I stood up to leave. The waitress said "Wait, I was fixin' to! " Do not waste your time.
MoreThe food was DELICIOUS, there were only two problems:1) There was only one waitress, and so she rarely had the time to visit our table.2) I had very HIGH expectations for the Korean BBQ menu, but the prices compared to the serving sizes was terrible. $30 for short ribs that takes less than 5 minutes to eat. After eating them, I realized it take of three of these ($90) to fill me up, not worth.
MoreGood food good service but kinda pricey lol.
It takes very long time and foods are not authentic korean food.
The food was very good and reasonably priced lunch specials.
Excellent Spicy pork. Rice, sides and all just like I was back in S. Korea.
We love this place. At their previous location and at this new location the food is excellent, authentic, and plentiful. The service is always great, and the ambience is relaxed and comfortable. We often eat the stews and Dolsot Bibimbap in the winter when we are tired and cold, and we have some of the cold noodles in the summer. There is always something for everyone in our family, and we love to bring friends here. The food is great, and we are so happy to have a great Korean BBQ place in the area.
MoreDelicious food, fast service, and good lunch prices.
The food is ok. You pay a lot and get very little. I feel swindled everytime I eat here.
MoreGood service. Good food. I get the food to grill at the table and the marinades make the meal. The sides bring it all together. Great place to take your family. My son enjoys it.
MoreI know how real Korean foods are like because I lived in Atlanta for a while. Its foods are okay. It is not bad, but it is not delicious. The service is good, but they usually have only one server during lunch time and she or he is always busy so it is hard to get their attention. Another thing is the price. I think it is overpriced honestly. If they can make it few dollar cheaper, I would go there every day. Well, so far I am going there whenever I crave Korean foods....
MoreVery calming atmosphere, great menu, great service. I'm excited about my next visit already. Sandra (hostess/waitresses), was the sweetest. Very patient, didn't mind answering any question I asked, and I had a lot. Lol
MoreThey have the best Bibimbap!
My family and I enjoy coming to this restaurant. We love the fact that they have every dish we see in our kdramas 😊. Love the food it's the best 🤩
MoreThis is by far THE BEST authentic Korean food available in Memphis. Deiji bulgolgi and beef bulgolgi are my favorite. It reignites a nostalgic memory of visiting Korea.
MoreThis place is okay for lunch, but do not take my word for it. I had the yukaejjang and it was ok. Not extremely rich, a lot of onions for broth and the rest of the ingredients. Ratio was kind of off. The ban chan plate was "meh". The zucchini dish tasted a little off, did not eat the salad (I'm at a korean restaurant, I do not want iceberg and ranch salad). All in all, for lunch, it was ok I am sure that dinner is much better.
MoreMe and my husband went to this restaurant today. We both shocked how expensive of their food are. I mean we have been to so many places tried so many different Korean restaurant. But never had one experience like this. Five pieces regular beef cost us $26. And a small plate of chicken cost around $16. And at the end, they charged us 18% of tips automatically without telling us.7/27 update: I changed my review from one star to three. Because this is not only one Korean restaurant overpriced. The Asiana Garden also have same thing and also overpriced as well. I guess this is just the culture for Korean restaurant here in Memphis.
MoreRule of thumb: if the kimchi is good the food will be too. Delicious
It's OK to call me biased. I lived in Korea for four years and this place never fails to disappoint. But when it comes to Korean food in the Midsouth, it really can't get better than this. There's a really good selection on the menu, and there are a lot of old favorites that remind me of what I used to eat back when I live there. The wait staff is very friendly and very willing to work with you if you're not sure about the menu items. We like coming here for more than crazy noodle in Midtown.
MoreCan't cook your own food and the serving size is tiny I can cook my own at home and spend 10$ and have triple the amount
MoreI'd say the food was ok-good but the price was waaaay too high. I got the Kimchi haemul pajeon, Galbi, and one of the grilled fish. First off, the pajeon was undercooked a bit in the middle. I had a few bites with uncooked batter. The Galbi was delicious, but for 24 bucks you get a ridiculously small amount. And the fish was about 18 bucks and overcooked. Overall, if I'm paying that much I'd expect it to be well done. I live in Korea and I even cook Korean food when I come home. Next time I'll stick to my cooking or Asiana Gardens on Mount Moriah. My entire mean with food + 4 beers was $100 😵
MoreThe wait in getting the menu and our drinks was a bit longer than usual but the food was really good. Been coming here for years. Bigger location now. Quiet and quaint.
MoreFirst time at Korean BBQ and it was good. Service friendly and value good. Wasn't in love with the atmosphere and not many in the restaurant but the flavor was good
MoreI’ve wondered about this place for awhile. Now I know. Nothing about our experience was pleasant.
MoreThe Korean BBQ (#4 on the menu) is fantastic. Bee bim bop is good, but not the best I've had. Decor needs some help.
MoreThey recently move to a bigger place which is better than the other one. I really enjoyed my visit here. They have improved a lot.
MoreThis is as close to authentic Korean Food as you can get. You just have to try it and you will. It be disppointed.
MoreTheir flavors are bomb! My experience was very good there. I am hooked and will definitely keep returning!!
MoreIt's small and quiet, and the food is pretty nice. Not that I'm a connoisseur, or anything.
MoreGreat food and friendly staff.
A Huge disappointment after reading all the positive reviews. If you lived in Korea before you know what real Korean foods taste like. I was expecting more authentic taste. I liked taste of bean sprout side dish but thats about it. Nothing so special. I went in for Saturday diner and only one host/server working in the restaurant. He was polite but was not impressed with his service. He served bottled beer with best by date of Dec of 2017. Overall Food is just okay, over priced and service was not so great. I would not go back for sure.
MoreClean, friendly and good food and service
Great food, super nice staff, a great experience!
Great food and service!
Great food :)
Always love places that serve Korean food that's close to authentic. Friends and family love it!!
MoreI’ve eaten here a few times and it is always clean, the employees are friendly and the food is FANTASTIC!! My oldest son got me hooked and now I will always tell people to come eat here.
MoreGreat Korean style food. Has the in-table BBQ grill option for family style.
Phenomenal service and amazing food with a relaxed dining experience. Quick meals that are filling with tons of flavor. Highly recommend to all!
MoreThe new location is spacious and well put together. Food is always phenomenal, but service a bit slow.
MoreTheir daelji bulgogi is very delicious. Customer service is consistently good
Food is just ok, their lunch special is reasonable. I come by here because it's close to our hotel when we come visit.
MoreThey need to add hot sauce. 😁😀
We had to wait awhile to get drinks, food, and checks. The food was ok but not worth the price. We didn't get all sides for our meals. Will not go back.
MoreIt was ok ,great food, and friendly people.
Heard a lot about it but have been heavily disappointed. Taste not worth the price.
